About the Role

We are currently seeking a talented and professional individual to join our team .The Junior Accountant is responsible for supporting the Financial Controller and Director
Finance & Analytics in various accounting functions and duties.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Billing/invoicing clients on the B2B side of the business.

  • Ensuring invoice and VAT related obligations are met on the D2C side of the business

  • Performing general ledger account and bank statement reconciliation

  • Preparing journal entries and financial statements for UAE entities

  • Maintaining periodic reporting and accuracy of financial statements

  • VAT filing and ensuring all implementation while monitoring regulations

  • Supporting in meeting all internal and external audit requirements

  • Maintaining fixed asset system

  • Maintaining and posting all monthly, quarterly, and annual accruals/schedules

  • Assisting with annual budgeting and preparing financial reports for creditors, agencies,and external auditors

  • Maintaining and organizing records of transactions

  • Assisting the Financial Controller and Director Finance & Analytics in preparation of miscellaneous confidential correspondence.

  • Review and control of lease accounting where applicable


Key Values/Skills:

  • Proven track record in accounting with ability to manage time and meet deadlines

  • Must have experience of VAT implementation in the UAE (KSA experience will be beneficial)

  • Proficiency working with Ms. Office, especially Ms. Excel required 

  • Knowledge of accounting software including QuickBooks or NetSuite

  • Operational finance experience is beneficial for this role

  • Must be a certified accountant (CA/ACCA degree preferred)

  • Fast and comfortable working in a time-sensitive environment

  • Comfortable with working alone as a specialist but able to engage with others

  • Acts with integrity and responsibility

  • Meticulous attention to detail, with an overall passion for continuous improvement
